Some folks aren’t into hard core patina’d rides like the rest of us, but can absolutely appreciate a low mileage survivor that has a couple small blemishes in the shine, especially when the rest of that ride has been done up just right. That’s exactly what is going on with this 1965 C10. The gang at Ridetech put together a bitchin coil-over suspension system for it to give it the right stance and then the rest was just cleaned and shined to bring out the best of it. This truck is a real deal California truck with just 90,000 miles on it.

We’ve got more great junkyard inventory right here, and if you are a Chevy truck fan, then this one is for you. Chad at Nobody Elses Auto has a ton of great trucks in the yard, and if you are into these round body vintage Chevy and GMC trucks he’s got tons of projects and parts that will absolutely get you excited. We know, because we’ve been there several times and love going each and every time. This one here is ultra straight and solid and we dig it.

So check out this new truck and if you want it, or parts for some other project, hit up Chad at the number below.

Video Description:

This old Chevy is still in fairly decent shape. Considering what these old trucks went through back in the day, this truck managed to survive pretty well! It has some dings and dents here and there, but overall, this truck still looks good! This old truck performed her duties on a regular basis until and engine problem developed. The engine was torn down and repairs were in the works when the project was abandoned.

That’s how I found this one, literally put out to pasture until another day. This one just came in recently, so let’s go take a quick walk around this old Chevy!

If you like old cars, trucks, and automobilia, be sure to check out all of my other videos! Please subscribe so you can keep up with the new videos as I post them!

If you have questions about vehicles or parts, the only way to get a hold of me is to call me, 8 AM-8 PM CST, no texts, no e-mails, no messenger, no smoke signals, calls only.

If I don’t answer, I’m probably on the phone with someone else and if you don’t leave me a message, I just assume you’re another telemarketer trying to sell me an extended warranty! LOL!

If you comment, message, text, e-mail, etc., don’t expect me to find it and don’t expect an answer. Thanks for watching, Chad 620-786-4428

If you are into Jeeps, then the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab Utah is like Mecca and if you haven’t been you’ll be blown away by how many folks head into town for the event. It’s like a whole new city that gets built during the event and the trails in Moab end up full of thousands and thousands of folks who are out there trying to cover as many trails with other Jeepers as is possible. It’s an epic event and everyone in the off-road community flocks that way, including the folks at Currie which is why we’ve got this great video coming from Casey Currie himself.

Check it out.

Video Description:

During the 2024 Moab Easter Jeep Safari we headed out to Kane Creek Trail with SkyJacker Suspension family, go along with us for a great day of wheeling on the rocks and in the water.

Scott is a longtime stick shift guy, who has done tons of stick shift swaps and has daily driven stick cars for years. So when he made a small mistake on the install of his McLeod RXT clutch during a Magnum 6 speed conversion from American Powertrain, it was sort of disheartening. Thankfully, the gang at McLeod helped him figure out the issue and that’s what the video is about. Check it out.

Video Description:

The clutch I installed in my 65 Chevy Impala, Project Evil Orchid, went bad on day 1 of Rocky Mountain Race Week, RMRW 1.0, last year. I need to find out what happened. What did I do wrong? The BluePrint Engines Power Adder small block 400 has been running great, as well as the American Powertrain T-56 Magnum six speed. The clutch is a RXT Twin Disc from McLeod was working perfect, until I did something to make it not perfect. McLeod has been great trying to help me diagnose the problem. But, it’s necessary to pull the transmission to find the problem, and get to it fixed.

I am so confident in McLeod’s products, I ordered another RXT from them, and will send back the old one to be inspected and rebuilt.

So you might have to be mildly dorky to love this video but I think there are plenty of you out there that fit the description. What you are going to see below is a home-video obviously made by a monster truck fan or someone who maybe traveled with the circuit in the 80s. It shows an awesome grouping of trucks preparing for and then tearing down after an arena show.

We have no idea where this show is but we do know that it is cold outside, there is snow on the ground, and these guys have basically been given a corner of the parking lot to work on their stuff. This is a scene that was repeated several times a week by many of the competitors you see here. These are the trucks that helped build monster truck racing to the height of its popularity and they did it the old fashioned way, by barnstorming around like old drag racers.

The trucks are neat! There’s the famed Rollin’ Thunder diesel Dodge van, there’s the Hawaiian Punch Chevy, the AM/PM Boss, the Skoal Chevy, the Coors Brewer, and more.

As a kid who just showed up to monster truck shows, watched the trucks do their deal, and bailed out with mom and pop, I had no idea that these guys were outside wrenching in the cold and making the stuff actually prepared to compete. It seems like this was just the normal routine back then and we like its humble and weirdly out of place nature as the trucks sit among parked cars of (we’re guessing) arena employees.

Like I said, you may have to be a dork to love this video but hey, if the shoe fits, Cinderella!

Whenever I hear people talking about how hard it is to find C10s, Squarebodies, and OBS trucks, it makes me shake my head because they are out there and plentiful. You have to remember, GM built millions and millions of each of these generations of GM trucks. That means that there are still jillions of them available for sale at every single level. So while it seems unlikely to find one in the kind of shape that Finnegan has found here, they are out there. So what’s it like driving a completely stock 1998 OBS GMC pickup cross country in 2024? Probably the same as it was when it was new.

Let’s see.

Video Description:

Episode 289 of Mike Finnegan’s Garage is a banger! I’m introducing a new project, exploring a spooky warehouse full of cool equipment while trying not to get killed, and driving cross country in a 26 year old truck. This was all made possible by the good people at Bling Sauce and its Platinum line of automotive detailing products. Bling Sauce is so excited about this project that the first 500 viewers who click here and use the promo code “FREEMIKE” will receive a sample pack of Leather Sauce, Secret Sauce and Trim Sauce: https://blingsauce.com/collections/au…

We’ve showed some pretty amazing videos from “The Mechanic” channel on YouTube before but this one may take the cake. Why? You are about to enter a factory where raw cast cranks are finish machined and actually completed to the manufacturer specifications. There’s not a computer, there’s no CNC, there’s barely electricity powering these ancient lathes which are spinning the cranks. Watching these guys do all this stuff by hand is amazing. We have no idea when the last time crankshafts were finished (in some volume) without the aid of computers in this country. We have to guess it has been at least 50 years in a production environment.

From a few solid hammer whacks to the quick checks with a measuring caliper, there’s an amazing amount of knowledge in this little room. These guys have clearly been at it a while. It does seem that the cranks being done here are for small inline engines. We picked up a three cylinder application may be the final stop for these guys. Now, are they going into newly built engines? Are these replacement cranks? We know none of that.

We do know that watching these guys work is fascinating.

Oil is one of those products that you can buy at a bunch of different price points, and that have insane marketing campaigns to tell you why their brand is best and why it all matters so much. And as if it weren’t enough to have Pennzoil, Valvoline, and Mobil 1, and all the other brands telling you how important it is to use good brand name oil, you also get it from whoever built your car. If you actually look at the manual, a lot of OE’s actually call for their brand of oil to be used when you do your oil changes. And with many new cars coming with maintenance included, those brands of oil are what the dealership is going to use. But are they good? Are they worth using? Or are they actually better than other name brand oil?

In the video below, Project Farm is going to put several OE oils through their paces, including oil analysis, so check it out and see how they stack up against Mobil 1. What do you think? OE Oil or aftermarket?
