If you are a Mopar fan, and you think a fullsize wagon would be a great family machine, then this Chrysler Town and Country is just what the doctor ordered. Before the Town and Country was a minivan, it was a full-size wagon and a good one for sure. In fact, this wagon had some special features that some of you new truck folks think are a new invention. I’m talking about tailgates that work in multiple directions. That’s not new. They existed decades ago as evidence by the tailgate here that works in two directions.

Video Description:

It may have been thirsty for gas but this 440 big block powered Town & Country was the perfect machine for growing American families on the move. Watch and wonder as Steve examines it’s novel “dual action” tailgate.

We’ve got more great junkyard inventory right here, and if you are a Chevy truck fan, then this one is for you. Chad at Nobody Elses Auto has a ton of great trucks in the yard, and if you are into these round body vintage Chevy and GMC trucks he’s got tons of projects and parts that will absolutely get you excited. We know, because we’ve been there several times and love going each and every time. This one here is ultra straight and solid and we dig it.

So check out this new truck and if you want it, or parts for some other project, hit up Chad at the number below.

Video Description:

This old Chevy is still in fairly decent shape. Considering what these old trucks went through back in the day, this truck managed to survive pretty well! It has some dings and dents here and there, but overall, this truck still looks good! This old truck performed her duties on a regular basis until and engine problem developed. The engine was torn down and repairs were in the works when the project was abandoned.

That’s how I found this one, literally put out to pasture until another day. This one just came in recently, so let’s go take a quick walk around this old Chevy!

If you like old cars, trucks, and automobilia, be sure to check out all of my other videos! Please subscribe so you can keep up with the new videos as I post them!

If you have questions about vehicles or parts, the only way to get a hold of me is to call me, 8 AM-8 PM CST, no texts, no e-mails, no messenger, no smoke signals, calls only.

If I don’t answer, I’m probably on the phone with someone else and if you don’t leave me a message, I just assume you’re another telemarketer trying to sell me an extended warranty! LOL!

If you comment, message, text, e-mail, etc., don’t expect me to find it and don’t expect an answer. Thanks for watching, Chad 620-786-4428

Can you believe that 1965 was the first year for coil springs in the rear of a Ford car? With so many others coming before them from the other makes, it seems weird, but the 1965 Ford Country Sedan was a truly special car in that it featured all kinds of firsts for Ford. Steve Magnante is back with all his video series going strong and we love him for it, so let me let him tell you all about it.

Video Description:

The 1965 Ford full size line was all new with a “torque box” frame and the first rear coil springs on a Ford. The wagons even included a trick aerodynamic gimmick to keep the tail gate glass clean. But why is there a turbocharger INSIDE this ’65 Country Sedan? Watch and be “blown away”.

Junkyard crawls are always a good time, whether you are watching them on video or better yet out there yourself. It’s not unusual for my dad and I to find some wrecking yard that has at least one cool thing visible from the street to suck us in for a look. You never know what you are going to find, whether on the parts front or the project car front, and regardless it is always cool looking at stuff that non-car people would think is just junk. We have featured lots of junkyard crawls with our favorite parts hunter, Scott Liggett at RebelDryver’s Garage, so when this video from a channel we had never heard of popped up I figured we should share.

This one is from the World’s Strongest Garage channel and while they are small, the yard he tours and the cars he sees are pretty cool. We’ve included the address for the yard as well below so you can call about parts if you want.

Video Description:

We’ll get back to the Impala soon, so today we’ll be exploring Parts 4 Less out of Orland, CA. Tons of 50s – 70s Fords, Pontiacs, Chevy’s, and a Buick Riviera that stole my heart.

Here’s the twenty fourth video of Steve’s Truck series! This time it’s all about the cute little Ford Courier, a rebadged Mazda B-Series that proved there were some smart people handling imports for Ford and Mazda. Magnante found a cool one and is going to explain why this little truck is so smart. Watch and if you missed the previous videos use the link below.

Our friend Steve Magnante has been out of commission for a few months as he’s literally been fighting for his life from a bad brain infection, but he’s back! You may know Steve from all his years in the magazine world where he wrote for a ton of great magazines like Hot Rod and Car Craft, but in recent years he’s been the rain man of muscle car and classics knowledge on Barrett-Jackson’s TV auction shows. He’s also been making great YouTube content of his own, walking through junkyards full of great finds and sharing all the info on cool old rides.

Thankfully, he had great doctors who didn’t give up on him even after putting him, and I’m so thrilled to say that he is in fact on the mend and working at getting back to his normal self.

I first met Steve more than 20 years ago on Hot Rod Power Tour and was lucky enough to work with him a few times over the years. He’s a real treasure, one hell of a guy, and I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to be sharing these videos with you now.

Video Description:

For over a decade before Ford launched its compact 1982-1/2 Ranger pickup truck, Mazda kept Ford active in the sales battle against Toyota and Datsun with the “captive import” Courier – which was based on Mazda’s B-Series pickup. But why were these little trucks imported without the cargo bed bolted down? It’s all about the “chicken tax”. The what? Watch and learn.

This is a project car that our friend Chad Ehrlich from Nobody Else’s Auto is highlighting this week and you need to check it out if you are a GTO fan. And I mean who isn’t a fan of a 1966 Pontiac GTO? A convertible no less, with documentation and everything. It’s a Barn Find that will make someone an awesome restored ride or hot rod and we know one of you out there has always been dreaming of one of these.

Here’s all the info from Chad, along with a video:

This isn’t my car, this actually belongs to a buddy of mine. I was out on the road last weekend and stopped in to see him. He’s always out looking for cool cars also, so I checked out a few things he had picked up recently and he had this really cool GTO sitting there!

If you’re interested in this one, you can call my buddy Tom at 620-231-2277 or you can always call me and I can get you in touch with him!!!! This car was stashed away for years in dry storage before he found it!

This is a roller with no motor or trans, but the rest of it is pretty much there. He does have the PHS documents on it and this was an original 4 speed car! This car will need a full restoration, but it is a pretty good car to start with and real, 242 GTO Convertibles don’t pop up everyday!

Let’s go check this one out!

You may remember my “Rough Start” posts from a while back. The basic sentiment was that for $5,000, you could find an interesting, worthy project that would run, drive and had the potential to be something more. Prior to the pandemic, that plan worked well. From budget-minded Fox-bodies, to cheap trucks, and even some admittedly unorthodox options, you could take five big bills and be driving something a lot more interesting than a 2004 Camry in short order.

That was then. In today’s market, you’re damn lucky if you can find anything for five grand that you’d be willing to be seen in, let alone take on as a project. And you’d better believe that if you attempt this plan, that you will be putting in some strong work on your part if you have any intention of daily-driving the rig. And yes, daily operation was in consideration for past Rough Start cars. It wasn’t like you were going to find an Olds 442 or anything like that for that kind of money. (OK, maybe one of the “butt-less Cutlass” era 442s, but whatever.)

Dalton recently picked up yet another late-Seventies Pontiac Grand Prix. Aside from bringing back fond memories of the ass-chewing my dad gave me for doing absolutely riotous burnouts in his ’77 when I was a teenager, this is the perfect example of how far you’ll be stretching to make something out of nearly nothing. At first glance it’s bad. At second glance, it’s bad after the booze wore off and your vision returned to normal. The “before” shot of this Pontiac is the automotive equivalent of the worst one-night stand you could imagine. But Dalton also has patience, a vision, the ability to paint and when it comes to fiberglass body filler, he’s damn near Michelangelo. Don’t buy that? Look at the final product and judge for yourself.
